Tsuro : The Game Of The Path Review

Hey Guys, how's it going?

I used to live in Japan, from around birth to 5 years of age. I loved Japan! The people were super nice, the food was even better, and(even though I didn't realize) it was super high tech. Japan was one of those rare places where the bleeding edge of modern technology and science, coexists with culture that dates back to almost the beginning of human civilization. One of the awesome games inspired by this rich and ancient culture is Tsuro, let's take a look.

Now, beginning with the design. This is one of Tsuro's biggest selling points. It's absolutely amazing! It's extremely detailed, intricate, and absolutely beautiful. This is not one of those eyesore strategy games that takes up your entire table, this is a game that sometimes you take out, just to look at and admire. It blends in and looks great in almost any setting. The art is extremely influenced by the aforementioned Japanese culture. The game pieces also look stunning, they are modeled after dragons, but in a simple and minimalistic way. And as my sister pointed out, they sort of look like fossils. They come in 8 different colors for 8 different pieces. The cards are pretty thick, laminated cardboard, and they have patterns on one side along with the white Tsuro branding on the other side(see above). The presentation(unboxing experience) is also stunning. There is this semi-translucent patty paper that covers the rules which are printed on thick paper and unfold similar to an ancient war map. The rules are also printed in many different languages in a separate booklet.

Gameplay is also super simple, but strategic and extremely fun! I was able to teach my 5 Year-Old sister how to play(competitively as well) in about 10 minutes! It's absolutely crazy that any piece connects to any other piece in one way or another, that's hard to do! The game plays quickly, about 15 Minutes, which would make it perfect for lunch table gaming, but it's big and I'm afraid of staining or ruining the beautiful game board. This is the kind of game that can easily provide hours of fun when paired with some other quick games(post coming soon!). If you guys want a longer and more strategic version, don't worry, for just a few bucks more, you can get "Tsuro Of The Seas". This is basically Tsuro, with a shipping element and some other new gameplay mechanics to increase strategy and difficulty. Everything else is the same.

I received the game in 2 Days for $19 on Amazon with Amazon Prime 2-Day shipping. What's even crazier? If you pair this game with and order over $35, they'll give you free 1-Day Shipping with an Amazon Prime membership. If you don't have a Prime membership, don't fret, they have a 1-Month free trial that can be cancelled or reactivated at any time. This is the sort of game that is the perfect family game, but it's also super fun with anyone else!

You guys can easily see that love this game! It's quick, it's beautiful, it's fun, and it's pretty inexpensive. I think anyone would absolutely love having this game, and for just $19, it's a must-have.

Thanks for reading guys, I'll catch you later!
