A Mechanical Pencil for Pencil Lovers...

Hey guy's, how's it going?

Before we begin, HUGE shout-out to Fastcap for sending the Fatboy Pencil out for me to review! Now, welcome to Day 2 of Holiday Hooligans, today we'll be checking out The Fatboy. A weird name, yes. An appropriate name, also yes.

This is a Mechanical or "Carpenters" Pencil with 5.5 MILLIMETER LEAD, that's thicker

than a normal pencil. The "Mechanical/Carpenters Pencil" is essentially just a stick of graphite in a metal tube with a retracting mechanism, but for what it essentially is, it's very high quality. They advertise this pencil as "virtually unbreakable" and while you can probably break the lead SOMEHOW, let's face it, this lead isn't going to be breaking when you're writing. The eraser is a great eraser, nice, big, and easily swappable. The body of the pencil is this rubbery material, it's not comfortable to write with for long periods of time, but that is not the intended use case, the intended use case is to make marks on wood, hence the name "Carpenters Pencil". The graphite stick (lead) gets short extremely quickly, it can get to the size of a USB Flashdrive in almost 3 times of you sharpening it, it would be nice if they made the graphite stick longer.

Final Verdict - 7.5/10

-----------------------------------------

It's definitely NOT a good pencil for everyday use, but at just around $12 on Amazon it's a great buy for use around the shop or for occasional repairs and projects at home.

Thanks for reading guys, i'll catch you in the next one!
