Are budget Bluetooth speakers any good?(Insignia Bluetooth Stereo Speaker Review)

Hey guys, how are you doing?

I picked up this super cool Bluetooth Speaker by Insignia at Best Buy during last years Black Friday sale, and I thought, "Hey why don't I do a review on it?" so here I am. It is an absolute STEAL at $10 but if you want to buy it now Best Buy (http://www.bestbuy.com/site/insignia-portable-bluetooth-stereo-speaker-blue/4389800.p?skuId=4389800) has got it for about $30.

- Design

- Colors

It's available in 3 different colors: Black, Red, and the Blue which is displayed above, I personally like the Blue.

- Material

The speaker grill is made out of real metal, which is nice for

something at this price point, and the rest is this sort of rubberized plastic which really makes it feel very solid in the hand and like a much higher end product than it is.

- Buttons

All of your buttons are up top and there is a microphone built into the speaker which again, super nice for this price point. The buttons have a circular design and are VERY tactile, but you do need to press them quite a bit. You have 4 buttons: Volume Up, Volume Down, Unpair, and Take Calls. There is an issue with Volume Up and Down where if you press them past a certain point it will go, BEEP, and you have to increase it on your device that it is connected to.

-Sound

Sound distorts at high volumes, but is nice and crispy at medium and low, if you like low end this is not the speaker for you, it has some base, but it is definitely NOT a base oriented speaker, I would look at something in Sony's lineup if that were your interest.

-Battery

This thing boasts around 6 hours of play time and 24 hours of talk time, but if you're only going to use it, say once a week, this should EASILY pass a month of use.

This is a great budget Bluetooth speaker more oriented towards the casual listener, with some amazing features at a wallet-friendly price.
